I have followed you on TikTok for so long and I have cheered you on. I am so glad that I bought this book and read it. Now this is my final book of 2021. I hope you continue this story because I for sure want to know what happens to Rory! I was not expecting those last few plot twists at the end! Thank you for sharing.

This book had me wrapped up in a world that I never wanted to leave! The world of fae, ancient magic, fateful love. A journey of young adults discovering themselves and stepping into their power and potential. For me, this whole read felt like I was fully submerged in a unique and enchanting world, alongside a band of new friends for a hell of an adventure. Dawn of Dreams has EVERYTHING one could want in a fantasy novel….an enthralling plot, supernatural species, different cultures, a wide array of intriguing and unforgettable characters, twist after twist, with humor and a little ~spice~ weaved in. While I absolutely love Rory and Decibel (and found myself so much less annoyed by them than main characters from some other fantasy novel series ), the development and involvement of so many “side characters” as well was one of my favorite things about this book….looking at you Greyson, Ana, and Tessa Katie has done such an amazing job of creating a world that is mystical and magical, novel and captivating, while also grounding the book in a reality that is still relatable and understandable in 2021. I am so extremely ready for another book to continue this story, delve into these lovable characters, and re-enter this otherworldly yet relatable universe that Katie Leigh has created!

1. What Inspired You to Write This Book?

I wrote this book because I love stories. The Harry Potter series is a favorite of mine, and its combination of creativity, magic, and suspense was inspiring to me. I find being immersed in a story and invested in what’s to come very exciting, so I wanted to create something that would allow readers to do just that.

2. What will your readers gain from your book?

In addition to being entertained, I hope my readers will see characters in difficult circumstances and feel they’re not alone in their real-life struggles. I hope that my characters’ ability to find a way forward will inspire readers to look for silver linings and that their successes as a team and struggles when divided show readers the importance of togetherness.

3. What was your unique quotient for this project?

One thing that makes my story unique is the shift in perspective. Readers get to see the events of the book unfold through the eyes of a variety of characters. This provides readers with additional information and adds layers to the story. Readers get to know each character a little more while developing a more complete picture of what’s happening in the book.

4. How did becoming an author help in your brand/business?

Becoming an author has opened the door to new opportunities. It allowed me to express my creativity in a way that helped me connect with different people and be a part of a new community. Through social media, in-person events, and more, I’ve had the chance to meet new people, share new experiences, and even support other authors in their journeys to become published.

5. What are your future plans as an author?

Moving forward, I will continue writing The Rodney Brothers series. I have a lot more of this story to give, and I’m excited to see my first two books continue to evolve.
