The Rodney Brothers and the 10 Tales of Roana" is a entertaining journey into a world filled with mystery and wonder. The characters are well-developed creating excitement and curiosity. This book is a great blend of fantasy and mystery, and I would highlight recommend for all to give it a read.

McGinnis may be a newer author but he sure doesn’t write like one. The detail used in his writing technique makes it nearly impossible to not visualize the settings and characters, even for people who struggle with visualization. By the time you make it halfway through the book, you feel like you are truly connected to the characters, especially the Rodney family, and are encapsulated in their world. You may think you have an idea of what the ending will be but it isn’t until the last 1/3 of the book where majority of the mysteries start to unravel, keeping you on your toes until the very end, leaving you wanting more. If you’re looking for a jaw dropping, fantasy fix, you’ve found your next read. But fair warning, finishing the book will just make you want to read it again and I recommend doing just that! I can’t wait to continue the Rodney brothers’ story!

I started the book yesterday and just could not put it down. The characters were introduced early and developed fully. The action was complex, exciting, fantastical, and easy to follow. I loved the family dynamic and inner turmoil that all the Rodneys had to face. The use of a book within a book was brilliant. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone in their "tweens" and beyond. Great world building allows you to feel like you're in the story, and this book did just that! The brothers have such distinct personalities and I can't wait to see how they develop in the next book given the challenges they'll have to face. Absolutely loved the mystery and "hmm... I need to remember that" moments throughout! When is book 2??

1. What Inspired You to Write This Book?

I wrote this book because I love stories. The Harry Potter series is a favorite of mine, and its combination of creativity, magic, and suspense was inspiring to me. I find being immersed in a story and invested in what’s to come very exciting, so I wanted to create something that would allow readers to do just that.

2. What will your readers gain from your book?

In addition to being entertained, I hope my readers will see characters in difficult circumstances and feel they’re not alone in their real-life struggles. I hope that my characters’ ability to find a way forward will inspire readers to look for silver linings and that their successes as a team and struggles when divided show readers the importance of togetherness.

3. What was your unique quotient for this project?

One thing that makes my story unique is the shift in perspective. Readers get to see the events of the book unfold through the eyes of a variety of characters. This provides readers with additional information and adds layers to the story. Readers get to know each character a little more while developing a more complete picture of what’s happening in the book.

4. How did becoming an author help in your brand/business?

Becoming an author has opened the door to new opportunities. It allowed me to express my creativity in a way that helped me connect with different people and be a part of a new community. Through social media, in-person events, and more, I’ve had the chance to meet new people, share new experiences, and even support other authors in their journeys to become published.

5. What are your future plans as an author?

Moving forward, I will continue writing The Rodney Brothers series. I have a lot more of this story to give, and I’m excited to see my first two books continue to evolve.
